Why the need for Industrial Marking?
For all industrial sectors particularly for the Avionics and Aerospace fields are needed to guarantee traceability, control, and quality. All components have to be marked to allow for the unitary and permanent identification of any single component. This allows a part to be tracked from time of manufacture to the final destination of use – including for warranty and quality documentation. As in other industrial sectors (such as Medical) but more specifically in, Avionics and Aerospace, all surfaces have to be marked without damaging or altering the characteristics of the material or its resistance. Marking has to be performed in a manner that has no structural impact on the part.
So, how can we mark Avionic components?
Lasers, dot peen markers, impact machines, roll markers, scribers, hot foil systems and electrolytic or chemical etching are the most used technologies for permanent marking to identify and trace the thousands of aircraft components manufactured each year, and to code and record information such as serial number, part number, batch number, manufacturing date, revisions and repair operations for each and every part.
Automator designs, manufactures and sells industrial marking equipment worldwide… and has been since 1940. It’s the only international company that provides all marking technologies for all industrial processes. Special applications for Aerospace and Avionics have been developed specifically for giving manufacturers the ultimate tachnology in marking, identifying, tracking and, of course, guarantee of components for the Avionic and Aerospace industrial segment helping to meet all Avionic agencies and international regulations.
